8th Annual Plein Air Painting Event, Historic Cedarburg, Wisconsin

The event is hosted by the Cedarburg Artists Guild, Inc., and is part of Cedarburg’s 23nd Annual Strawberry Festival June 28-29, 2008.

June 19 – 26, Artists will be outdoors painting Historic Cedarburg along Washington Avenue and the surrounding area throughout the week.

June 27 - 28, 10am – 6pm Exhibition and silent auction of the plein air paintings. Paintings will be displayed at the Cedarburg Cultural Center. On Sat 28, there will also be a "quick paint" competition. The artists will have a limit of two hours to complete and submit a painting. Keep an eye out for those frantic working artists.

June 29 – July 6, Extended exhibition and sale of plein air paintings.

2008 Mid-Summers Brush, Oconomowoc’s Plein Air Competition, Oconomowoc, Wisconsin

The Mid-Summers Brush is hosted by the Griffin Gallery of Fine Art in downtown Oconomowoc and is part of "Sounds of Oconomowoc Night".

July 25 – 31, Participating artists will be painting outdoors in Oconomowoc.

July 26, "Quick Paint" in some of Oconomowoc’s most beautiful gardens. Participating artists will have four hours to finish and submit a painting.

August 1, 10am – 8pm Exhibition and silent auction at the Griffin Gallery of plein air paintings created throughout the week. August 1 coincides with "Sounds of Oconomowoc Night". A portion of the proceeds from the will go to Rogers Memorial Hospital Art Therapy Department.
